Friday night lights

April 24, 2026

Another Friday night lacrosse game! Playing Lone Peak at home. I love lacrosse nights! I love sitting in the stands with all our friends and family. And we all watch the game. We cheer for Ren. I love it so much. I am the mom. These are my kids. I watch Ren run around and defend and catch and pass the ball and shoot incredible shots and I am blown away at what he can do. I am so proud of him and I think that is my boy. I am his mom. I get to sit on the front row of his life and witness every moment of it. I am so so so lucky. He is truly gifted and talented at what he does. He looks so cool and so cute. I just love him. He works so hard and he loves it. And I just love to be there. I love to sit and watch and talk and cheer. I am happy. I really enjoy every bit of it.

We are nearing the end of the season. The end of his high school lacrosse career. I am soaking it in. Every little thing. Sitting here being a part of it. It is wonderful. I’m sad for it to end. And I’m so happy I had these experiences and memories forever. They will continue to bring me joy.

After the game everyone goes down to see Ren, to give hugs and chat. Nick was out of town this weekend, so I was alone gathering my seat and blankets and stuff. I walked down to the edge of the stands and looked to find Ren on the field with all the parents and friends. He was gathering his stuff and walking toward the locker room. He looked up and around and saw me, and he waved and blew me a kiss! He said hi mom I love you! It was the sweetest. He is mine. He looks for me and we get to celebrate together. I get to be a part of this and I am so grateful. It’s a beautiful experience. And Ren is so darn handsome and good~
